The Beast

20 01 2009

cnn reports a lot on the new presidential limousine which the secret service call “the beast”. it’s an amazing vehicle, not only in aesthetics, but in design and security as well. after doing some research online, i’ve come across some info on the president’s new vehicle. check out the photos online, including one with details that come from a british website. i can’t, obviously, claim the accuracy of the info, but it’s pretty cool anyways.

New York Times Publishing

23 12 2008

the new york times is available at thousands of locations every morning, seven days a week. that thought left me with a few questions.

how many places publish this paper?

how many graphic designers work on putting that thing together?

what is the deadline for reporters to get their stories in so that they can be included in the next day’s publication?

if you counted all the drivers, press operators, delivery persons, editors, reporters, designers, etc., how many people actually work for the NY times?

pretty incredible when you think about it.
